Affinium™ Pharmaceuticals Congratulates Dr. Aled Edwards on his Appointment to Lead the Structural Genomics Consortium

TORONTO, ONTARIO (April 4, 2003) – Affinium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leader in structure guided drug discovery, congratulates Dr. Aled Edwards on his appointment to the Chief Executive Officer in the not-for-profit Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC). The SGC is an Anglo-Canadian partnership whose mission is to increase the number of public domain protein structures for life sciences and biomedical research. The SGC will operate from research laboratories at the Universities of Oxford and Toronto, and collaborate with the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge.
